Although travel is still at a standstill, Canadians have been seizing the opportunity to live and work from anywhere.
Airbnb has seen that Canadians are booking longer stays (2+ week trips) in small-to-mid-size cities where there’s access to immersive natural surroundings and wide open spaces.
Trending destinations for digital nomads booking longer stays include:

- Coquitlam, B.C.
- Burnaby, B.C.
- London, Ontario
- Richmond Hill, Ontario
When looking ahead to 2021, Canadians are feeling hopeful when it comes to planning for travel. According to a survey conducted by Airbnb, 36% of respondents say they daydream about travel daily or more, increasing to 47% among people who work from home.
Trending destinations by search for 2021 include Jordan River, B.C. and Onanole, Manitoba.
