The Data Isn’t There on Travel-Related Virus Risk, Health Experts Say

Toronto Star/By Kelley Lee and Anne-Marie Nicol – A story in the Toronto Star by two top health policy specialists says that Canada’s current systems aren’t collecting enough information and that a more robust system is needed to deal with travel and COVID-19. Here’s an excerpt from their story.

“The current (federal) system is not systematically or rigorously collecting enough data to provide the basis for broad policy decisions.

“This comes at a time when new COVID-19 variants make sound travel policies even more critical. A more robust, timely and accurate system is urgently needed.”
