Huge Demand for Travel; Canadians Looking for Both Domestic and International Trips

A new survey of Canadian residents finds there’s plenty of demand for international travel. But many folks are looking to travel locally as well.
The folks at www.ost.travel, which is the ownership group for Sarracini Travel, Omega Tours and Landsby sampled 10,000 Canadians (mostly in Ontario) and received more than 650 responses, which gives them 99% accuracy with a 5.5% margin of error.
Among their findings were that 86% of Canadians will be eager to travel when it’s safe to do so. Asked where they’ll head when the time is right, 33.2% said they want to take international trips, and 21.2% said they want to hit Mexico or the Caribbean. Right behind that were trips to another province in Canada, at 20.7%.
Asked what type of holiday they want to take, a little more than half of respondents said they’re looking for a family vacation.
Asked what type of trip they’d want to take in Ontario, the top answer was a self-driving tour (46.2%), followed by nature and the outdoors (24.2%)
