With an added reward for early bookings and extended seasons on the Rhine, Danube and Douro rivers, guests have the opportunity to save now when reserving their much-anticipated journeys. Top of many world travelers’ “must-do” lists are the remarkable Seven River Journeys, which became a first-ever experience for the river cruise industry when launched in 2021. For 2024, two new journeys offer 49-nights cruising the full length of the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers, visiting 15 countries while on board one intimate ship, AmaMora. Another first for the luxury line, guests on both sailings are invited to expand their exploration into the southern tip of the Danube Delta region that leads to the Black Sea.

Douro River
AmaWaterways has extended its Portugal river cruising season for 2024 with additional sailings round trip from Porto on board AmaDouro. Travelers will have the opportunity to experience the golden fall foliage along the banks of the Douro River and for the first time ever, discover the joys of this popular destination throughout the festive December period with the final Christmas departure on December 21, 2024.
France
New for 2024, a seven-night Flavors of Burgundy itinerary traveling on the Saône River between Dijon and Lyon offers guests the added pleasure to explore in depth the famous wine-producing and culinary region of France. Continuing the trend of longer journeys, guests have the option of conveniently disembarking their first seven-night cruise aboardAmaCello in Lyon and boarding sister ship AmaKristina for an additional seven nights on the Colors of Provence cruise between Lyon and Arles. AmaWaterways offers a 10% combination cruise savings* on all second and subsequent river cruises. This brings the number to six unique itineraries in France with optional pre- and post-cruise stays escorted by Cruise Managers in cities such as Paris, Barcelona, Bilboa, Geneva and Nice.
Danube River
With nine itineraries offered by six award-winning ships, AmaWaterways continues to attract many repeat guests as well as first-time river cruisers to this fascinating region of Europe. For 2024, AmaMagna, the most luxurious ship on the Danube, offers an early start to the river cruise season on February 11 with her unique itinerary cruising between Vilshofen and Budapest. In addition, AmaViola lives up to her musical name with a series of six Celebration of Classical Music: The Danube departures between Budapest, Hungary and Vienna, Austria. Also available in 2024 are six festive December departures on the unique five-night Majestic Capitals of the Danube itinerary visiting Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest with pre- or post-cruise land packages in Krakow, Poland and Prague, Czech Republic.
Rhine, Main and Moselle Rivers
AmaLucia promises to warm hearts with extra doses of AmaLove as she kicks off her new Rhine season on February 11, 2024. For those looking to discover Western and Central Europe, AmaWaterways offers a variety of 7, 10 and 11-night cruises along the Rhine, Main and Moselle Rivers. Boasting 10 fascinating itineraries such as Enchanting Rhine, Vineyards of the Rhine & Moselle and Christmas Markets on the Rhine, travelers can sit back and cruise or be as active as they wish as they hike, bike and explore their way through the Netherlands, Germany, France and Switzerland. Besides soaking up the region’s excellent wines, timeless traditions and deep-rooted history, guests are also able to extend their stay by adding optional pre- and post-cruise land packages in iconic destinations like Amsterdam, Lucerne, Zurich and Prague. Dutch and Belgian Waterways

Additional details on AmaWaterways 2024 launch of two new ships cruising the Magdalena River in Colombia will be released in January 2023.
