Air France brings a touch of Parisian elegance to downtown Toronto with a limited-time La pâtisserie pop-up, marking 50 years of its Paris–Toronto route. The initiative reflects Air France’s signature service experience beyond travel itself for a limited time.

Located on Bloor Street West, the French-inspired pastry shop offered a curated selection of signature desserts that are reserved for the airline’s Business Class passengers.

Launched on April 25, 2026, the pop-up will continue welcoming visitors through May 17, 2026. Designed as an immersive space inspired by Air France’s premium in-flight experience, it offers guests the chance to enjoy pastries alongside coffee in a setting that blends French elegance with a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere.

At the centre of the experience is a curated menu of five desserts created by renowned French chefs Yann Couvreur and Laurent Le Daniel. These are not reinterpretations, but the exact creations served onboard, offering Canadians a rare opportunity to experience airline gastronomy on the ground.

The initiative also celebrates a historic aviation milestone, since Air France Paris-Toronto flight’s launch on May 21, 1976, operating three weekly flights. Today, the airline plans to run up to two daily flights during the peak summer season, underscoring the route’s continued importance.

Beyond the culinary offering, the space features an exhibition tracing five decades of travel between the two cities, showcasing vintage menus, tableware, and elements of the airline’s evolving onboard service.

Jean-Eudes de La Bretèche, Country Manager, Air France KLM Canada, said, “Toronto has played a major role in the airline’s presence in Canada, representing 50 years of its 76-year history,” as reported by TravelPress. He added that Canada is the airline’s second-largest international market after the United States.

With this La patisserie’s gourmet pop-up, Air France blends travel, culture, and cuisine, bringing its signature onboard experience to the streets of Toronto while celebrating a long-standing transatlantic connection.

Recently, more such initiatives to enhance premium travel experiences have been introduced across the industry, including Air Canada’s Airbus A321XLR upgrade with lie-flat seating on long-haul routes.
