Just a day ago, we reported on Air Transat’s launch of a new non-stop route between Quebec City and Lyon and Barcelona. With the addition of Lyon and Barcelona, Air Transat will offer five non-stop European destinations from Quebec City in summer 2027, alongside Paris, Marseille and Nantes.
In line with its mission to bring people closer together, it is further expanding its summer 2027 flight program, featuring five new non-stop routes between Canada and Europe.
Montreal will now connect to Geneva, Switzerland, and Faro, Portugal. Till now, Air Transat has served Faro from Toronto. With this, Faro will become the third airport Air Transat serves from Montreal in Portugal, alongside Lisbon and Porto.
Air Transat is also adding a fifth route linking Birmingham, United Kingdom, to Toronto.
The good news from Quebec City is that travellers can now fly to Puerto Plata year-round.  Same for Montreal–St. Maarten services, which will be extended beyond the winter 2027 season. There are now more options for summer travel to the Caribbean.
“We want to develop a range of destinations that complement one another and offer travellers a variety of experiences,” said Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat. “Our summer 2027 program combines opportunities to discover new regions of Europe with an expanded presence in markets we already serve. By extending select sun routes through the summer, we are also giving travellers more flexibility to choose when to take their holidays.”
