Trudeau Government says Canada-U.S. Border Staying Shut Another Month:
March 18, 2021 Jim Byers
The Canadian government today announced that the U.S.-Canadian border will stay closed until April 21.
In a move that was entirely predictable, Public Safety Minister Bill Blair announced the closure on his Twitter account, saying the border will remain closed to all but essential traffic for another month.
The previous closure order was due to run out on Sunday, March 21, a day that will mark one year for the closed border.
It’s remarkable that these things are now routinely announced on someone’s Twitter feed, but that’s the age we’re living in.
