Myrtle Beach Welcomes Canadian Visitors for the 65th Annual Can-Am Days
March 11, 2026 Team Contibutor
Visit Myrtle Beach is rolling out the welcome mat this week for Canadian visitors. Each March, Myrtle Beach honors its long-standing friendship with Canadian visitors during Can-Am Days, a tradition that has welcomed generations of snowbirds to the Grand Strand for more than 60 years. The tradition continues in 2026 with the 65th Annual Can-Am Days taking place March 13-22. Along with special deals and events specifically for Canadian visitors, celebrations include the North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival (March 14, 2026) and the Run to the Sun Car Show (March 19-21, 2026).

South Carolina’s iconic Grand Strand welcomes Canadians with its 100 kilometers of beautiful beaches, endless entertainment and exclusive snowbird specials. For more than 65 years, Canadians have flocked to Myrtle Beach to trade snow for sand, enjoying not only the mild weather but the warm tradition of Southern hospitality and cultural exchange.
“Myrtle Beach has long been a home away from home and beloved Southern getaway for countless snowbirds seeking a warm-weather retreat where they can explore sunny shores, world-class golf courses and an incredible range of family-friendly entertainment,” said Stuart Butler, President, Visit Myrtle Beach. “We’re thrilled to continue this tradition and welcome our Canadian friends with exceptional deals and experiences designed to fit every budget.”
Canadian travelers will find a wide variety of discounts across the destination with deals being offered throughout the year. Participating resorts are offering up to 50 percent off standard USD lodging rates with a valid Canadian identification, while attractions such as Ripley’s Aquarium and select golf courses are extending exclusive savings for visitors presenting a Canadian ID or a Canadian Automobile Association card.
Myrtle Beach is all about reconnecting with loved ones, exploring the 100 km of Grand Strand natural splendor, learning coastal culture in the 14 different communities, playing your best game of golf, and finding that perfect bite.
