Explora Journeys Launches Summer 2028 Cruises and Completes Six-Ship Expansion Plan

Explora Journeys officially unveiled its Summer 2028 Journeys Collection and marked a major milestone by completing its six-ship ambitious fleet vision.

With the debut of EXPLORA VI in August 2028, all six luxury vessels will be sailing together for the very first time. The achievement significantly expands the brand’s global footprint, spanning 27 countries and 178 destinations.

Explora Journeys, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, confirmed that bookings are now live for the highly anticipated collection.

It features voyages across Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Alaska, Greenland and the North American East Coast.

Itineraries for Summer 2028 are framed around unhurried, immersive travel experiences. Guests can expect overnight stays at iconic destinations like:

• New York
• Reykjavik
• Istanbul
• Lisbon
• Stockholm
• Quebec City

Along with Maiden visits to lesser-known ports of

• Runavík in the Faroe Islands
• Korčula in Croatia

Each ship in the fleet will focus on a unique experience and destinations. For instance:

• EXPLORA I and II will explore the Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Iberian coastlines
• EXPLORA III returns to Alaska with scenic glacier sailings and visits to remote communities
• EXPLORA IV and V will cover Northern Europe, the Baltic Sea, Iceland, Greenland, and the North American East Coast during the autumn foliage season

The newly launched EXPLORA VI will sail 13 Mediterranean journeys between August and November 2028, covering destinations such as Sicily, Sardinia, Dubrovnik, and the UNESCO-protected Bay of Kotor.
