Disney Cruise Line is returning to New York City in fall 2027, bringing the Disney Wish back for the first time since 2023.
The cruise line announced its Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries on August 25, with new and returning ports across North America, the Caribbean, Panama and Southeast Asia. The announcement includes seven special Disney Wish sailings from New York, expanded departures from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and new port calls in Panama.
Disney Wish Returns to New York
The Disney Wish is scheduled to arrive in New York in late September 2027 after its inaugural season in Europe. The ship will operate seven four- to seven-night voyages from New York. Five of those sailings will visit Bermuda, while three will include an additional day in the destination.
The Disney Wish will return to New England and Atlantic Canada in fall 2027. It will visit Boston, Saint John, New Brunswick, and Halifax, Nova Scotia. These Canadian ports could appeal to travellers seeking a Disney cruise along the Atlantic coast in autumn.
More Caribbean and Panama Canal Options
Disney Cruise Line is also expanding its operations from San Juan. The Disney Wish will sail from New York to San Juan on a five-night voyage, with a stop in Bermuda. It will then begin a seven-night Southern Caribbean sailing from Puerto Rico.
The Disney Fantasy will offer more cruises from San Juan in fall 2027 and spring 2028. Its itineraries include Curaçao, Bonaire, Barbados and Antigua. The Disney Magic will operate two 14-night Panama Canal cruises. The sailings will include maiden calls at Fuerte Amador and Colón in Panama.
Tracy Wilson, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line Operations is of the view, “Disney Cruise Line is proud to be a leader in family cruising, helping our guests create lasting memories in even more destinations. We are delighted to return to a guest-favorite port in New York, introduce maiden calls in Panama and continue visiting destinations throughout the Caribbean and beyond with our growing fleet.”
A Look Back at Disney Adventure’s Singapore Disruption
The latest itinerary announcement comes months after Disney Cruise Line faced an unexpected disruption involving the Disney Adventure in Singapore.
In May, the cruise line cancelled a four-day sailing after a mechanical issue prevented the ship from departing as planned. Affected passengers were offered full refunds, hotel accommodation and other compensation, according to Disney. Canadian Travel News previously reported on the incident and the passenger response.

Disney Cruise Line and the Bahamas
The new itineraries also include several sailings involving Disney’s Bahamian destinations, including Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Earlier this year, Canadian Travel News reported on a temporary Bahamas alcohol restriction during the general election. Disney Cruise Line was among the affected operators, including stops at Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay.

Bookings Open in September
Select Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club members will be able to book the newly announced Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 sailings beginning August 31. General bookings open on September 8.
Beyond New York, the schedule includes sailings from San Diego, Galveston, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, San Juan and Singapore, giving Disney Cruise Line a broader range of departure points for the upcoming seasons.
