EXPLORA I Set to Return to Monaco for Formula 1 Grand Prix Weekend in 2027

EXPLORA I will return to Monaco’s Port Hercule for the FORMULA 1® Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco 2027, giving guests the opportunity to stay just 150 metres from one of the most famous circuits in motorsport.
The luxury ocean travel brand has opened reservations for the June 2-7, 2027 race weekend, marking its third consecutive year bringing guests to the heart of Monaco during Formula 1’s most glamorous event.
The announcement follows a period of expansion for Explora Journeys, including the launch of its 2027-2028 voyage collection and additional 2028 sailings. Now, the brand is once again turning its attention to Monaco, where race weekend transforms the principality into a global gathering place for motorsport, luxury travel and entertainment.
A front-row position in Port Hercule
During the event, EXPLORA I will take up a prime position in Port Hercule, placing guests steps from the circuit and in the centre of the atmosphere that defines Monaco Grand Prix weekend.
By day, guests can experience the excitement building across Monte Carlo as teams prepare, superyachts fill the harbour and race activities take over the city’s famous streets. On board, the ship offers a quieter retreat from the crowds while remaining close to the action.

Reservations now open
Guests can now reserve suite-only stays or suites paired with three-day Grandstand access for the Grand Prix.
Explora Journeys has also confirmed that packages including three-day F1 Paddock Clubâ„¢ hospitality access will become available at a later date. Those experiences are expected to include gourmet dining, pit lane walks and access to exclusive Formula 1 programming.

Extending the Monaco experience
Guests who want more than a race weekend can combine Monaco with a longer Mediterranean sailing.
Available itineraries include a Rome-to-Monaco sailing from May 24 to June 7, a Monaco-to-Barcelona voyage from June 2 to 14, or a longer Rome-to-Barcelona itinerary spanning May 24 to June 14.
The return to Monaco also builds on the success of previous race weekends in 2025 and 2026. Earlier editions welcomed notable names from the motorsport world, including Sir Jackie Stewart, Mika Häkkinen and David Coulthard, while a range of onboard events helped establish EXPLORA I as part of the broader social scene surrounding the Grand Prix.
