The Korea Tourism Organization, or KTO Canada, is inspiring more Canadians to visit South Korea with its Hello Korea promotion. It’s a travel incentive campaign that blends K-beauty perks, exclusive rewards, and a major tourism event in Toronto.
Running from 1st August to 13th September 2026, this campaign rewards travelers who purchase flights to South Korea or book Korean tour packages while building excitement ahead of the K-Travel Fest, scheduled for September 12-13 at Sankofa Square in downtown Toronto.
Hello Korea promotion – what is it?
The Hello Korea Promotion is designed to convert travel inspiration into actual bookings by offering rewards to Canadians planning trips to South Korea.
The initiative follows KTO Canada’s ‘Ride to Korea’ campaign and intends to further boost interest in Korean tourism among Canadian travelers.
Participants can choose between two promotional offers based on how they book the trip.
Tour package travelers can get an OLIVE YOUNG gift card
Travelers who book an eligible Korean tour package with one of KTO Canada’s designated partner agencies may receive a ₩100,000 KRW OLIVE YOUNG gift card, valued at CAD$100.
Key details include:
- First-come, first-served basis
- Available to the first 150 verified bookings
- Bookings must be submitted through official campaign verification
- Travel must depart by 31st October 2027
The gift card can be redeemed at participating OLIVE YOUNG stores across South Korea, which is the country’s most recognizable wellness and K-beauty retailer.
Independent travelers can claim exclusive festival souvenirs
The campaign also targets independent travelers. Any person purchasing a round-trip flight from Canada to South Korea between 1st August and 13th September 2026 may qualify for a limited-edition K-Travel souvenir.
A total of 400 souvenirs will be available:
- 50 for eligible walk-in participants at the festival
- 35 through advance registration
Travelers must offer proof of flight purchase at the festival’s Welcome Zone.
K-Travel Fest brings Korea to Toronto
The campaign culminates in the K-Travel Fest, a two-day celebration of Korean tourism, culture, travel, and food.
The event details are:
- Time: 11 am to 6 pm
- Dates: September 12 and September 13, 2026
- Location: Sankofa Square, Toronto
Visitors can expect travel-related giveaways, travel-related activities, cultural experiences, and tourism information designed to showcase South Korea as a destination.
Why it matters
South Korea continues to grow in popularity among Canadian travelers, thanks to its cultural attractions, modern cities, wellness experiences, cuisines, K-pop, and shopping.
The Hello Korea promotion aims to capitalize on interest and provide tangible rewards that enhance the travel experience before visitors arrive in Korea.
With K-Beauty rewards, travel incentives, and a major public tourism event in Toronto, the Hello Korea promotion represents one of KTO Canada’s largest consumer-facing campaigns of the year. As demand for Asian travel continues to rise, initiatives like this can encourage more Canadians to include South Korea in their upcoming travel plans.
