National Geographic Signature with G Adventures today announced the addition of 17 extraordinary new itineraries to the recently launched collection of community tourism-forward, elevated trips that have set a new benchmark for responsible, high-end travel experiences.
Building on the positive reception and proven traveller appetite for the initial 32 trips included in January’s debut, this latest release of Signature itineraries expands into new terrain across multiple destinations including Spain, Bhutan and the Canadian Rockies. The new trips will offer the same hallmarks that distinguished the style’s launch: exclusive access, unrivalled expertise and cultural immersion that leaves a meaningful impact on the places visited.
“The appetite for travel that offers genuine depth is undeniable, and the response to Signature has been so powerful that it’s officially become our most successful launch to date,” said David Green, VP, global sales and managing director, Canada. “I’m particularly proud to see this expansion reach our own backyard in Canada. Bringing National Geographic’s legacy to our home turf allows us to peel back the layers of the Canadian Rockies, revealing a raw and intricate side of the landscape that most people, even locals, rarely get to experience.
From the Himalayas to the Rockies and Northern Spain, this expanded collection proves that expert-led storytelling and community-led tourism are the most powerful ways to create a meaningful ripple effect for the people and places we visit.”
With the addition of these 17 new trips, there are now 49 trips spanning 44 destinations in the Signature collection. Each journey has been crafted in collaboration with National Geographic Expeditions and on-ground specialists whose connections and expertise open doors and reveal the world to travellers in a new way, while immersing travellers in the cultures and communities they are visiting.
Highly experienced National Geographic Expedition Leaders lead each departure in the Signature collection, offering travellers a broad understanding of the destination. National Geographic Expedition Experts – leaders in fields ranging from photography, biology and geology to history, filmmaking, archaeology, and conservation – provide opportunities to learn directly from specialists in their disciplines. Together, Expedition Leaders and Expedition Experts deliver rich context and storytelling that transform every trip into an expedition.
