Travellers planning a trip to sun destinations this winter will have more choices. Canadian airlines have already begun announcing and opening bookings for the Winter 2026–2027 season.
Now, flyers to sun destinations will have more options from Montreal. Air Transat announced on 27th April, 2026, that it’s introducing three new destinations from Montreal: Oranjestad, Aruba (AUA); Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI); and San José del Cabo, Mexico (SJD).

These are another round of additions by the airline, following its addition of four new international routes this April.
“Demand for sun destinations remains strong, and these three new routes from Montreal allow us to meet that demand by expanding our offering,” said Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat.
He further adds, “By adding Aruba, Barbados and Los Cabos, we are continuing to execute a strategy focused on diversifying and optimizing our network to the South, for the benefit of our clients.”
Speaking on the development, Karl Brochu, Vice President, Airport Operations and Air Services Development at ADM, said. “ADM Aéroports de Montréal is pleased with these new routes served by Air Transat, which will allow travellers to discover vibrant tourist destinations rich in culture,”
“We are very happy to support our partner Air Transat in expanding its service offering with these new sun destinations that meet the needs of various traveller segments. An airport that offers a diverse and accessible range of services is an airport that creates value for its entire community.”
Air Transat has indicated that more announcements regarding partnerships and additional network developments are expected in the coming weeks.
Air Transat allows bookings up to 361 days in advance. You can book flights for the Winter 2026–2027 season directly through the official Air Transat booking engine.
