Great Things To See and Do in Delaware: Home of President Elect Joe Biden

I figured that searches for Delaware would be up given the election in the U.S. But a quick search of google trends this morning found that searches for the word “Delaware” tripled between November 2 and 3rd, the day they started counting ballots.
I’m told that Plains, Georgia became a very popular place for tourists after Jimmy Carter was elected US President. Ditto for Bill Clinton’s birthpace of Hope, Arkansas.
I can only assume that the same will now happen for Delaware, where Biden lives (Greenville, Delaware, to be precise; a suburb of Wilmington. Likely the same thing will occur for Scranton, Pennsylvania, where the president-elect was born.
I’m a travel guy who’s been all over the U.S., but I don’t recall visiting Delaware. I have a vague image of driving into the state once when I was in Baltimore, but I can’t say for sure it happened.
I do know that I knew next to nothing about the state until today, when I started looking at things to do. And there’s quite a bit: a beautiful seashore, nice cities like Dover and Wilmington, historic homes built by some of America’s richest families, and pretty inland parks.
With the help of some Trip Advisor reviews, here are some things you can check out in Delaware.
