Travelzoo, a global publisher of exclusive offers and experiences for members, has launched a bespoke collection of deals on luxury hotels in many of the world’s favourite big cities. The compilation is a snapshot of alluring cosmopolitan destinations – from Los Angeles to Dublin to Bangkok – and features lucrative perks, unprecedented savings and travel dates into 2022.

The collection comes hot on the heels of Travelzoo’s latest member survey, which includes optimistic clues around the rebound in big city travel.

In the survey, U.S. members said city breaks were their second most preferred holiday type for Spring Break 2021, after beach escapes (and 40% say they have or will plan a spring break vacation this year, compared to 34% in 2020 and 71% in 2019).

Hotels are the number one accommodation choice for travellers – 48% for domestic stays and 47% for international visits – beating out vacation rentals, the home of family or friends and camping sites. International hotel buys on the Travelzoo website are ramping up; savvy travellers are buying hotel stays either for use right now, when attractions in urban centres are a lot less crowded, or for use later, when big cities around the globe open back up for international travel.

“One factor that’s helping drive the rebound in big city travel is hotels’ communications around Covid-inspired protocols,” said Travelzoo’s Global CEO, Holger Bartel. “with 70% of our U.S. members saying safety and sanitation guidelines are as important as price.”

The Travelzoo collection features more than 30 deals at 4- and 5-star international hotels. Created exclusively for Travelzoo members, stays include perks like breakfast and upgrades. Travelzoo’s fully refundable booking policies allow members to buy now and choose their dates later, with travel through most of 2021 and, for many properties, well into 2022 as well.
