All of Quebec Now in Green Zone With Fewest Restrictions

June 28, 2021 Jim Byers

Kermit the Frog was wrong. It’s much easier being green.

With COVID-19 cases dropping rapidly, all of Quebec moved into the province’s green zone as of today. That’s the lowest health advisory level in the province, with the least amount of restrictions.

Several regions were already green, but the most populated cities, including Montreal and Quebec City, stayed yellow for an extra week, CTV News reports.

As of Monday, a maximum of 10 people or residents of three separate, private residences can share the same restaurant table. Patios can accommodate a maximum of 20 people per table.

Also, a maximum of 10 people from different addresses, or the occupants of three households, will be allowed to gather inside homes. That number goes up to 20 people that can gather outside on private property.

On Friday, new rules pertaining to Quebecers who are fully vaccinated went into effect, such as no longer needing to wear a mask or physically distance.

Full details can be found on the province’s website
