Since most of us aren’t travelling these days, we’re bringing our Canadian Travel News readers a little taste of the world via some travel photos.
Today it’s Machu Picchu, which you’ll find in the Andes Mountains of Peru. This marvellous city in the clouds was built by the Inca civilization centuries ago.
The so-called Western or European world didn’t cotton on to the existence of the place until American Hiram Bingham, a history professor at Yale University, stumbled (well, kind of) on the place in 1911.
Today, it’s one of the most sought-after “bucket list” destinations on the planet.
