GlobalNews – Less than one per cent of travellers who have received a fine for failing to go to a COVID-19 quarantine hotel have tested positive for the virus, the Public Health Agency of Canada says.

n an email to Global News, PHAC said as of May 26, of the 1,130 travellers that have received a fine for not going to one of the government authorized accomodations — known as quarantine hotels — fewer than 10 have tested positive for the virus on either their day one or day eight test. That’s less than 0.88%.
