Canada-U.S. Border – It’s a Big, Hot Mess

Canada says it will open the Canada-US border to fully vaccinated Americans and permanent U.S. resident on August 9.
But the U.S. this week said it’s keeping the land border closed with both Canada and Mexico until at least Aug. 21, meaning only essential traffic can cross.
On the other hand, any Canadian who wants to visit the U.S. can fly to Florida or New York or California or any other state they wish to see.
President Joe Biden was expected to loosen restrictions on Canadian visitors this week, but didn’t do so. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, on the other hand, eased the rules for Americans.
The rules make very little sense, and they’re tremendously confusing.
